5 Obvious Reasons to Visit the Caribbean

Yacht Charter Caribbean
When choosing a place to spend that precious week away from work, there are no shortages in options. But there is a very good reason that thousands of people decide to head to the Caribbean every year and spend their hard earned time among the beaches and lush forests of the islands. These are just five of the many blatantly obvious reasons to make the Caribbean your next holiday destination.

1. The Sea.
Whether on a cruise liner or on a luxury yacht charter in the Caribbean, there are many ways to go from one island to another on the crystal blue seas. That is the best way to experience the calm and warm waters of the region. Depending on your budget you can take an all inclusive cruise that offers great food and a cheaper way to travel the seas or you can go for it and yacht charter in the Virgin Islands and Antigua have all sorts you can hire and spend your days on.

2. The Beaches.
Home to possibly the best beaches in the world with the famous white sand beaches and calm, clear waters, the Caribbean is a paradise for beach bums. There are so many beaches on the islands that one can venture off the beaten path and discover their own slice of heaven away from the more popular beaches and crowds. If people watching are your cup of tea, then the popular beaches on Barbados and Anguilla should offer more than enough in terms of eye candy.

3. The Wildlife.
The wildlife enthusiast will no doubt notice some of the iguanas hanging around the hotels, trying to avoid the holiday makers while others laze about soaking up the sun like the people on the beaches, but there is a lot more to the wildlife in the region than just the scaly reptiles. On land, there is everything from cats to indigenous snakes and lizards while in the sea, colorful fish swim among the snorkelers. Perhaps the most fascinating sights are those of the great leather-back turtles on Levera Beach in Granada, where the huge reptiles come up to the beach to lay their eggs.

4. The People
Maybe it's the idyllic surroundings or the easy going lifestyle, but one thing that any tourist to the Caribbean can count on, it is the friendliness of the locals. The laid back and casual locals will invite tourists to join in on an impromptu game of beach cricket or share a drink at the many bars that dot the beaches and streets. But come nighttime, they will be up and about partying at the many spots on the islands.

5. The Culture and Architecture.
The old world feel of Cuba where crumbling houses dot the streets on which 50s automobiles still roam is unmatched and may disappear soon as more and more tourists make their way there. Almost all the islands offer colonial architecture and old ecological sights that will be a delight to all history buffs and even for those not interested they just look beautiful.

There is an island in the Caribbean for anything anyone might want to see or do, so there really is no reason to go anywhere else.
